The Santo Domingo Church was built in the year 1557 and finished in 1600 of eclectic style with Romanesque historicism, Gothic auctions in its towers. The painting and interior decoration was done by Fray Enrique Mideos.
Next to the church we find a square and the monument to Manuel Carríon Pinzano. This illustrious Lojano was the author of the Lojano Federalist Movement in the year 1853.
The church is brick-seen. It has two towers in the front in the middle of which is a statue of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, who owes his name.
The interior walls of the church are decorated with frescoes, which narrate the history of the Dominican community, painted by Fray Enrique Mideos in the year of 1930.
